Our puppy loved it

We were taking our 7-month-old cockapoo puppy on a beach vacation, and we wanted a crate that would be easy to carry, easy to assemble, sturdy, and most of all, comfortable for the puppy. After doing a lot of research, this crate seemed to meet our needs. We were not disappointed. The crate fits into a stylish and durable canvas case making it lightweight, easy to carry, and requiring little storage room in the car. It assembles in just minutes (much more easily than his collapsible metal crate). There's excellent ventilation--generous, mesh windows on all sides, and fold down "shades" for additional covering. The zippers all work well. Best of all, the puppy went right inside and settled in. He loved it and didn't balk either at night or when he was crated during the day. The crate bottom has little padding, so we got an additional mat. I also loved the fact that there are pockets on the crate, so I was able to store the puppy's frisbee. Although my puppy is only 18 pounds, he's accustomed to a larger crate, so this size suited him well, giving him room to stretch out. I highly recommend this crate and would definitely purchase it again. |
Love it!

I'm blown away by this crate. It's beautifully made. I love the look, the carrying case, the pockets on the side, the roll up windows. It comes with metal stakes for people who want to use it outdoors, and a carrying strap for the case. Extremely lightweight. I am all thumbs, but I had the first one up in 10 minutes, the second in 5 (I have two dogs). The price is also remarkable.
The one drawback, as others have pointed out, is the flimsy fleece-covered removable floor. I tossed my dogs regular fleece bedding inside, but I do wish the crate came with a hard plastic, cleanable floor. Of course that would add to the weight, so I understand why this material was used. That is the only drawback to an otherwise wonderful product.

| We bought the medium size and large size Guardian Gear kennel. With two dogs, kids and lots of activities, it really helps to be able to fold the crate down flat and store it easily when not needed. Not having to take a heavy plastic kennel in and out of the car is a huge bonus. The crates have large windows and sturdy zippers and seams. Additional appreciated features included velcro pockets along the sides, carry case and fleece kennel pad. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the board the fleece fits over was very flimsy. On opening the crate for the first time, I saw that the fleece pad had slipped off the board. When I tried to slide it back on, the board cracked in several places. It seems to be made of something like veneer and was not durable at all. Also, as it was laying on the carpet, it cracked when my 6 year old child stepped on the edge. While this was very disappointing, it is will be easy to replace with cardboard, thin plywood or even lightweight plexiglass. The bottom line: I am pleased with the quality of every other part of the kennel and so would still recommend this product. |

| This crate works just perfect for our needs. It folds down flat to fit in the car or to put away if we have company. The zippers and material seem durable. The only part I have an issue with is the flimsy "wood" inside the bed. It broke the first time my husky walked into the crate. Other than this it is an awesome product and a good value compared to others on the market. |

| I love how lightweight and easy to set up this crate is, but I do not love that the fleece is wrapped around a thin piece of plywood (one accident and that is trashed). I bought it for my 6 month old puppy and he has chewed it up some, but not too badly. It would not be good for him for more than a few hours during the day or overnight. I was able to fit the pan from his metal crate inside the collapsible crate so I do not have to worry about ruining the fleece covering, but I have not been using it either. As far as a vacation crate it works out ok, just wish it was a bit more durable. |
