I bought this heating pad to heat part of my whelping box, for which I used a baby pool. The fact that it is a hard plastic pad is wonderful for daily cleaning and sanitizing. The best part was being able to set the actual temperature I wanted it to reach for the puppies. Be sure to buy extra fleece pads for it so you always have a clean one ready to go. I have done about 850,000 loads of laundry with this litter, and the pads are holding up really well. The puppies are now 2 weeks old, and I don't know what I would have done without it. I also have a geriatric dog with arthritis, and am planning to buy another one just for him if I am not done with the other once before he needs it. Spend the extra $$ for this one over the other pad -- the temperature setting feature is well worth it.

Arrived promptly, works as advertised. I like the wire wrapped cord so I don't worry about chewing problems. The dogs love it, they get in their warm cozy house when it's chilly out.

I have seen the pups crawl on to the plate for warmth . My pups are only2 weeks old, but they're all doin' fine.
Dog Heating Pad

This is the 2nd K&H Lectro Heating Pad I have purchased. I am a breeder of English Mastiffs, and I use these in the whelping boxes for the first 3/4 weeks of the puppies lives, as it is critical to maintain a warm (80-90 degrees) environment. The pups love them and crawl on and off as needed. Great product because I am able to sanitize it daily. Thanks! A.&M. English Mastiffs

I have used this product for my dog all winter. He is an outside dog and the mat was put into the back of his dog house. He has loved it. It has been great with cedar down to about 20 degrees on a regular night time basis. Of course, he would not tell me otherwise...since he can't talk. He does seem to be happy with it!
